Thanks for helping me understand that medicare supplements will be able to fill the gap from the coverage of the original medicare. I guess it would be best to talk to a professional regarding the coverage that we can get for my mom so that she will be secured when she retires. It will give us assurance that she will be able to get the treatment she needs without worrying about the payments or expenses.

It's helpful when you said that Medigap fills the gap from the coverage of the original Medicare as it now pays for coinsurance, copayments, and deductible expenses. My grandmother is looking at having a Medigap plan with prescription drug coverage, but she told me it's confusing which policy she should pick. I think the help of a Medicare supplement agent is necessary for this situation since Medigap plans are indeed confusing.

My mom is looking at retiring in just a few months, so she is looking carefully into Medicare and their supplement plans. After reading your information, I am thinking that she should consider the Advantage Medicare A and B. Since it covers prescriptions and she is diabetic, this can really help her in the long-run. I will suggest she seriously consider this one on our next visit.

Thanks for mentioning how Medicare Advantage plans include benefits that can save you lots of money monthly. My husband's grandma is hoping to get a good insurance plan this year for her health. I'll have him suggest that she choose a Medicare Advantage plan to save as much money as possible.
